King of the Wrap Game: Why King Palm Reigns Supreme

Established in 2016, King Palm has been around for almost a decade yet drew inspiration from smoking methods used as far back as the 10^th century. One can’t begin to explore King Palm’s history without also exploring the history of smoking itself, so let’s take a trip back in time. Mayan civilizations were some of the first discovered in history to depict smoking in their drawings and like many such vices, its’ use spread globally.

This trip around the globe takes us to the 15^th century, when Cuba began embracing plant-wrapped cigars. Surprising no one, land wasn’t the only thing that Columbus stole from the indigenous people of Central America – he also took the traditional plant-wrapped cigar smoking method. This “influence” eventually made it back to the European countries with Columbus. Gradual shifts occurred through the centuries, eventually leading to a 20th century industry filled with tobacco-rich and chemical-loaded products that were both highly addictive and highly successful. However, once consumers discovered just how harmful the beloved products they’d been purchasing for decades were, brands began to shift to (allegedly) healthier alternatives that minimized from smoking with an emphasis on “purer” and more organic materials.

Enter King Palm. Smoked by celebrities ranging from Snoop Dogg to Joe Rogan, King Palm bolsters their reputation with the help of social media moguls and influencers. Not every brand receives that kind of endorsement! So what draws in such big names? One factor just might be King Palm's use of proprietary natural corn husk filters in all of their wholesale wraps and rolling papers which customers, both famous and not, are drawn to for the smooth, uninterrupted airflow during the smoking experience. Similar technologies had been employed by cigarette manufacturers decades prior in the form of flavor capsule cigarettes but were absent in the rolling paper and flavored wraps world.
