Mocha the Most of the New Puffco Pivot Colorway!
The Puffco Pivot was released just over 5 months ago, yet it continues to go in the same direction: up. That is, sales are up and people want more and more of this mid-range, portable and temperature controlled dab pen that fills the gap between the Puffco Plus and the Puffco Proxy. Adopting the modularity of the Proxy and the portability of the Plus, the Pivot entered the field at a more than reasonable MSRP of $130. What makes the Pivot especially competitive aside from the price is the included 3D chamber not seen on any other vaporizer at the same price range. Not to mention the haptic feedback and four heat settings, allowing for a more customizable dabbing experience. Premium Puffco at a prudent price.
It's even easier to get excited about a product when there are various color options. Mimicking the Desert colorway of the Proxy, the Mocha colorway seems to be another option that was launched to appeal to the more feminine dabbers among us. With a dark brown color scheme and metallic rose gold accents, the Mocha Pivot was just meant to be tossed in a fashionable purse or practical crossbody bag. Let’s not forget that this is one of the first colorway drops to feature a “Collector’s Edition” set because what do women love more than color coordination? In all seriousness, anyone could enjoy this cozy coffee-colored dabbing set. And we’ll just ignore how this was released at the tail-end of Women’s History Month – coincidence, I think not!
As we’ve covered in a previous blog post, the Pivot features a visual dab timer, haptic feedback and real time temperature control and borrows from other products in the Puffco line. The 3D chamber, inspired by Peak Pro’s, provides even heating, favorable flavor and voluptuous vapor and the Boost Mode, also borrowed from the Peak Pro, allows for supersized hits. However, the Pivot is one of the more adaptable pieces of the Puffco roster, allowing for use with a glass adapter – which is a feature directly out the Proxy’s playbook. The Pivot is cool enough, though, where it is just slightly larger and bulkier than the Plus and is only $40 more for an array or additional features. It’s not compatible with any app, but another iteration of the Pivot or a new product entirely could crop up in the coming months or years that is.
The Pivot seems pretty idealistic with its picture perfect airflow and consistent temperature, which begs the question: are there any drawbacks? And if so, then what are they? Well, it’s not an E-Rig. And it's not the Peak Pro which means that there are limitations to using it continuously. During longer sessions, the vapor will get hot due to the heating chamber being so close to the mouthpiece and without adaptations, there is no feasible way to prevent that. Regardless, the Puffco user manual states that it should not be activated more than four times in a row. That’s okay because the Peak Pro and Proxy have users who want to dab deep into the night covered.
