The American Pipe Dream: Wholesale Smoking Accessories Made in the USA

Though tariffs have cooled down from what they were only a month ago, consumers remain unsure about the future while enduring an especially unsteady and volatile market. The Smoke Monkeys at SPS Wholesale thought that this might be a good opportunity to showcase several of the American brands and products that we carry. 

Dansie Glass

Let’s kick off this feature with some brand-new products from a brand we just started carrying: Dansie Glass! Dansie Glass is based in Dillon, Montana and is comprised of Ty and Danielle Dansie who began dating in 2010 and the rest, as they say, is history. Ty started glassblowing as a garage hobby, but it quickly turned into more when his passion sparked Danielle’s interest in the art. This led to Danielle going back to school to originally learn about bead-making but actually learning about the traditional art form. Danielle crafts chillums, pendants and parts for Ty, who takes care of the rest. Since their humble garage beginnings, this power couple now has a glassblowing shop that they’ve opened up to family and fellow glassblowers, both new and experienced.

Ancient Creations Ceramics

Our next featured artist is Adiel and the team at Ancient Creations Ceramics, who have been throwing clay and crafting beautiful ceramic pieces in Seattle, Washington since 1995. Just like Dansie Glass, what began as a hobby morphed into a small, but thriving business making smoking pipes for friends and family then grew to attending festivals and craft fairs. Now, the products that they still manufacture at their home studio are carried in over 400 smoke shops and dispensaries. They pride themselves on practicing sustainability by recycling every scrap of clay, using food-safe glazes and powering their kilns with 100% hydro-electric generated power. We’re thrilled to be one of the wholesalers that supports their art.

Shocked Boxes

Based out of New Jersey, Frank Zapper (totally his real name) crafts unique dugouts by electrocuting patterns into wood with a high voltage transformer in a process known as fractal burning. He established Shocked Boxes in December of 2019 after receiving a request to shock a design on a dugout and deciding he could manufacture them himself. Much like Ancient Creations, Shocked Boxes aims to be sustainable and uses a combination of reclaimed lumber and locally felled trees and what exotic woods he does use are scraps and leftovers from NJ lumber mills. He’s currently on a hiatus and taking a well-deserved break but stay tuned for updates!

Oregon Made Glass

Based in (you guessed it) Oregon, Oregon Made Glass, or OMG as they’re sometimes known, has been a long-time supplier of quality US Made glass for us. They started as a small family business and has since grown to producing a vast selection of wholesale smoking accessories. We’re currently short on stock, but OMG produces fun and affordable fumed, color changing and clear glass water pipes as well as dab straws and adult products.

Cose Glass

Based in Eureka, California, Marcose Walton of Cose Glass has crafted glass spoons and bubblers for us since 2021, though he’s been a glassblower for far longer than that. He recently teamed up with fellow Eureka glassblower Topher Reynolds of Copious Glass to form the Glass Garage and vend at craft fairs and art markets. We’re in the process of acquiring more of Marcose’s work so keep an eye out for them in our New Products and Returning Favorites pages!

These creators are just a small handful of the many hobbyists and entrepeneurs throughout the United States who dedicate themselves to their respective crafts.
